Bone brothers, beware, a soup stand with a little more sustenance has come to town. Soup Bazaar, landed smack in between the Historic and Fashion Districts, is slinging steaming bowls of soup to those in need a quick, comforting bite.
This is the first concept by Costa Rican native Issis Newcomb, who worked in a variety of restaurants in both Costa Rica and Los Angeles before opening her soup-centric shop. Soup Bazaar offers six soups per day, three daily and three Chef's choice. While Newcomb explains that many of her soups with have Asian and Latin flair, early favorites include the classic tomato basil and the signature chicken, corn, and potato with fried capers.
Pair your soup with essential sides like grilled cheese or fried plantains, or opt for a Panini or salad. Soup Bazaar is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
