Soup Bazaar started with a little red Food Cart offering Artisanal Soup at farmers markets in Los Angeles , the love for the comfort of Soup and the need for wholesome healthy options led to DTLA's first Soup Bar.

Chef Issis Newcomb's cuisine is inspired in her World travel's & the food she loved growing up , soup was a staple at home where the catch of the day simmered with root vegetables & herbs from the garden, fresh coconut milk & chillies , fragrant & comforting ...a Complete perfect meal in a bowl.

Learning to cook at a young age in the family Restaurant in Costa Rica's Caribbean Coast , she travels & eats soup everywhere , moving to L.A for Culinary training and working at restaurants specializing in Japanese , French , Latin & Middle Eastern cuisine . Chef focuses on wholesome comforting Soups made from scratch with locally sourced organic produce , whole grains and sustainably raised meats while introducing fresh international cuisine & a healthy lifestyle .
